Could AB's and DL's be in the comic book industry?

I saw this in a 1968 Superboy comic book. Yes, I must be regressing!!!

In this comic there is a planet in another dimension that watches the activities of Superboy and think it's just a fictional TV show.

The one complaint of this show is that Ma and Pa Kent are too old for a teenaged son, so the producer has the think of a way to make them look younger. As he is thinking of a solution he sees this "execution" on TV. Instead of executing criminals, they force feed them a solution that turns them into a baby so they can have a chance to live a better life . Could it be that our AB interests could have been also sparked by comics book writers who were AB's and DL's too?
